Bayou Bartholomew - This beautiful bayou, which originates northwest of Pine Bluff, AR, flows approximately 359 miles before crossing the Louisiana border on its way to joining the Ouachita River. It is heralded as the longest bayou in the world. Lined in portions with cypress and tupelo swamps and inhabited by alligators and large turtles, visited by wintering waterfowl, containing over one-hundred and seventeen species of fishes, this bayou is truly a wonder of nature.
Bonita Museum - The Village Museum, established in 1990 and located in Bonita, represents families from the northeast corner of Morehouse Parish. On display is an array of donated items from various households. To visit the Village Museum is to take a trip into the past and to behold the treasures of yesteryear.

Chemin A Haut State Park - Situated on a high bluff overlooking Bayou Bartholomew, Chemin A Haut State Park is a natural paradise for lovers of unspoiled beauty. This 503-acre site takes its name from the French word meaning "high road," which was the route used by Native Americans many years ago in their seasonal migrations.
Chemin-A-Haut State Park was designed with children in mind. Two playgrounds in the day-use area are a favorite spot of the younger patrons as is the wading pool in the swimming complex. Also, the park's swimming pool is open Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day, so campers and picnickers can refresh themselves on hot summer days.

Collinston Museum - The Collinston Museum is open each Saturday from 10 am - 3 pm in downtown Collinston.
Handy Brake National Wildlife Refuge - Located just north of Bastrop the refuge was established in 1988 with the southeast's first fee title transfer of a Farmer's Home Administration tract (466 acres) to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. A free lease of 38 acres from International Paper Company increased the refuge to the current 501 acres. An observation platform overlooks a permanent wetland, which is excellent habitat for wintering waterfowl, wading birds and many other wetland dependent species

Kalorama Nature Preserve - Located near Collinston, Kalorama features mature upland hardwood forest on steep slopes and open meadows with tall grass prairie plants. There is a wide variety of birds and butterflies most of the year. Several acres of early spring bulbs flower in February and March. Open seasonal hours, and anytime by appointment. Morehouse Country Club - An 18 hole course, one of the most attractive in northeast Louisiana, is in excellent condition and proposes an exciting challenge!·Amenities include a large swimming pool and a lighted tennis court. The clubhouse has a full service lounge, and there is also a grill open for your food orders to dine in or carry out. Morehouse Parish Courthouse - Construction on the Morehouse Parish Courthouse was began in 1914 and was completed in the spring of 1915 in the Breaux Arts style. Col. W. L. Stevens of New Orleans was the architect and Fall City Construction Company of Louisville, KY constructed the building. Renovations, which restored the ceremonial courtroom to its original splendor, were completed in 1999.
Morehouse Parish Farmers Market - Located in historic downtown Bastrop at 307 East Madison, the Farmers Market was totally restored in 2002. The market sells local, quality produce directly to the consumer and offers pea shelling and pecan cracking services as well. For more information, call Don Costin at (318) 286-1211.
Rose Theatre - The Rose Theatre was built in 1927 on the Courthouse Square as a venue for the traveling vaudeville shows and silent movies of the era. The facility was later converted to a movie theater, but closed in the 1970's. After being closed for over a decade the Rose's doors reopened to the public in 1986 with a presentation of “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever.”

Snyder Museum and Creative Arts Center - Located on beautifully landscaped grounds, the Snyder offers guests an educational, entertaining and refreshing setting to visit. This unique multipurpose facility houses a gallery featuring rotating art and historical exhibits, an historic collection of local artifacts and an extensive genealogical library.
The Snyder Garden Room is a unique setting for weddings, rehearsal dinners, receptions, company meetings, family gatherings or almost any affair.
